Biography/History:
Glenda Millard is an Australian writer of children's literature and young-adult fiction. She wrote A Small Free Kiss in the Dark after seeing an article about people who survive on what other people waste. Glenda says "From there my thoughts progressed to wondering what life would be like for a young homeless boy. Would he become part of a group? How would the group form?" A Small Free Kiss in the Dark was a short-list nominee for the 2009 Aurealis Award for best young-adult novel.
