Seren wants to play with her friends. Before she goes, her mum says 'stay away from the swamp' but Seren wasn't listening. Throughout the story, different characters try to tell Seren and Steg to stay away but they don't listen and, before they know it, they're stuck in the swamp mud. Luckily their friends had followed them and help them out. Seren realises that the importance of listening.
