His books <cite>The Color Collector</cite> and <cite>My Town Mi Pueblo</cite> promote kindness, acceptance, and courage. Nicholas lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, two sons, and their dog named Charlie. He loves writing, teaching, and spending time with his family.
